In response to our sustained growth and successful project deliveries, the Project Management division of Turner & Townsend in Adelaide is expanding its team and is in search of a dedicated Project Director to join the senior leadership group.
As a Project Director at Turner & Townsend, you will play a pivotal role in leading projects, managing teams, demonstrating a strong commercial acumen, and effectively handling large-scale projects. The chosen candidate will collaborate closely with and receive backing from the Director for Project Management SA.
Job Description
Oversee and supervise large real estate projects as the primary client liaison Cultivate professional relationships, solve challenges, and drive projects to successful completion Coordinate the design process to meet client requirements and manage expectations Evaluate project plans and specifications, oversee scheduling, implement cost-saving strategies, resolve discrepancies, anticipate construction issues, etc. Ensure project compliance with safety and environmental standards Manage project timelines, risks, and reporting procedures Monitor project budgets and offer recommendations to maintain financial alignmentQualifications
Hold a recognized Degree in a technical field such as Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or Project Management Possess 10 - 15 years of industry experience specializing in significant health, retail, commercial, or mixed-use developments Thrive in high-pressure, fast-paced environments Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities to guide and nurture a team Exhibit expertise in staff performance management, particularly in cultivating and advancing direct reports Possess strong business development skills Display high levels of motivation and dedication to meet client needs Proficient in utilizing Microsoft tools Ability to lead and manage complex projects and programs as the primary client contact Excellent communication skills with fluency in written and spoken English, including exceptional report and bid writing abilitiesAdditional Information
