Job Description

Main duties:

  • Preparation, Baking and cooking of food
  • Manage portion control, cooking of pastries, presentation of cakes, slices and other pastries
  • Monitoring and control of food wastage
  • Checking of food to ensure quality
  • Checking temperatures of ovens, grills and other cooking equipment
  • Ensuring proper storage of food
  • Maintain and uphold best practice kitchen/bakery policy and procedures
  • Ensure a safe and compliant working environment

Summary of requirements and experience required:

  • Work a flexible roster including days, weekends and public holidays
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience in a similar role for more than 12 months
  • Must be TRADE QUALIFIED and be able to produce this paperwork
  • Experience in high volume venue(s)
  • Ability to work in all areas of the bakery with varied cooking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to run a section autonomously
  • Team player
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Have pride in a clean and professional appearance
  • Ensure compliance to all company and statutory requirements (responsible for all Bakery practices involving the management of all agreed health, safety, quality and environmental accreditations)

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
