A leading global engineering and energy company in Australia is overseeing the development, acquisition, and operations of low emissions electricity, hydrogen, and clean fuel assets. This role is vital in driving the company's growth and transition to net zero emissions, focusing on various clean energy technologies like pumped hydro, battery storage, renewables, and hydrogen infrastructure.

The GM Engineering will establish and lead a diverse engineering team, while also collaborating with technical experts, suppliers, and contractors. Responsibilities include ensuring all projects adhere to technical best practices and align with strategic, commercial, safety, and performance objectives.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil), preferably with CPEng.
  • Extensive experience in managing complex projects within the energy sector.
  • Technical, practical, and commercial proficiency in delivering large-scale energy infrastructure projects.
  • Proven leadership in overseeing internal and external engineering teams.
  • Expertise in front-end engineering design and value engineering.
  • Familiarity with Safety in Design principles.
  • Experience in contract preparation and quality assurance for energy projects.
  • Ability to interpret and implement technical standards.
  • Knowledge of the National Electricity Market and renewables sector.
  • Experience in renewables, hydropower, BESS, or clean fuel technologies preferred.
  • Must be a Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen.
