An exciting opportunity exists for a dedicated professional to join the Regional Mental Health Team in the South-Eastern Region as a Mental Health Engagement Coordinator.
The Mental Health Engagement Coordinator (MHEC) role is a conduit between policy and service delivery, with a specific focus on the intersection between disability and mental health.
The Regional Mental Health Branch provides expert advice and operational support to help ensure effective implementation, reporting and improvement of the three mental health reforms: Mental Health Practitioner Initiative (MHPi), Mental Health Fund and Menu and Mental Health in Primary Schools (MHiPs) in Victorian Primary, Secondary and Specialist schools to contribute to improving students' mental health and wellbeing.
Working as part of a Regional Mental Health Branch, the MHEC will provide practice leadership, expert advice, capability building activities and resources based on current best practice in the field of disability and mental health to Mental Health Practitioners, MHiPS leaders and school/area staff to enable them to better support students with disabilities in a variety of settings.
