This rapidly growing and dynamic Engineering and Construction company have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Shared Services Manager to join their finance team on a temp basis to lead the transactional team of seven, across Payroll, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.

The ideal person for this role will be a leader who has a passion for process improvement, is both strategic and hands-on.

Enhancing team culture, performance and engagement will be another focus in this role.

The role

Reporting to the Financial Controller the responsibilities of the role will include,

  • Overseeing and governance of transactional processing
  • Developing, leading and mentoring a team of
  • Mange Accounts Payable, Payroll and Banking
  • Process improvement and streamlining
  • Automation and systems implementation projects
  • Month end and year end reporting and analysis
  • Supporting and liaising with Auditors
  • Providing advice and assistance to internal and external stakeholders
About You

The successful applicant will have/be,

  • Experience within a similar role in a large company
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop employees
  • Able to build and promote an inclusive, supportive and high performing culture
  • Focused on outcomes and continuous improvement
  • Streamlining and process improvement focused
  • Strong understanding of compliance and governance and Accounting principles
  • Full function Accounts Payable, Receivables and Payroll
  • Payroll reporting and compliance, FBT, PAYG, Payroll Tax, Workcover and Superannuation
  • Both hands on and strategic leadership abilities
  • Systems literate and strong Excel
  • Welldeveloped communication and interpersonal skills
