POSITION
We have a full-time position of Resident Maintenance Technician located in Braeside Melbourne, Victoria.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS
- Plan maintenance tasks and carry out agreed electrical and mechanical planned preventive maintenance of automation equipment
- Carrying out electrical and mechanical breakdown maintenance
- Inspection and replacement of hardwired gear motors
- Inspection and replacement of power supplies
- Weekly reporting (internal and external) depending on customer requirement
- Monthly management report (internal and external)
- Spare parts management and ordering
- Electrical and mechanical repairs and replacement of components
- Continuous improvements in system optimization
- Complete breakdown reports and shift logs including any issues arising on shift in accordance with internal processes and procedures
- Supporting daily operations in case of incidents
- Communication with support network and customer shift managers
- Maintaining site workshop
- Sickness and holiday coverage of technicians
- Support electrical installation of company systems in market area
- Interstate travel according to contracts
- Working in accordance with Australian OH&S regulations and maintaining a safe work environment
- Daily system audit
- Refresher training of basic skill level (e.g. working at height)
- Training to improve skillset on equipment and others
- Communication to Line Manager
- Maintaining company equipment and property
- Professional conduct as a company's representative
- Any other duties which reasonably correspond to the general character of this role
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Essentials
- A recognized mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent and a minimum of 3 years of working experience
- Understand and adhere to all company, legislative and OH&S procedures
- Be flexible and motivated
- Willingness to improve skills set
- Presentable in uniform
- Friendly, reliable and punctual
- Be a team player with excellent problemsolving skills
- Possess a full driving license
- Acts at all times as an ambassador for the business, building and maintaining good relationships with customers, colleagues & managers
- Learn company administrative procedures, and how to complete worksheets and timesheets
- Electrical/Mechanical Trade qualification
- Basic Microsoft Office skills
Desirable
- Full electrical certification
- Knowledge of programmable logic controls (PLC's)
- Experience with automated equipment
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office
- German language skill

- Salary: based on prior job experience, $75k $85k PA
