Job description:

Mechanical Fitter / Diesel Mechanic

  • 6 month contract with possible perm opportunities
  • Rates $57.97 per hour
  • Working on locomotive rail projects
  • Monday to Friday 6am1.36pm (some OT available)

THE ROLE

We are looking for 4 x mechanical fitters to join a rail project in the Inner West suburbs of Melbourne.

You must be trade qualified and have experience in automotive, rolling stock, rail, process line, and or Defence / Gov't sectors.

You will be working on state of the art / leading edge machinery and equipment. This vacancy is available for an immediate start and will fill quickly on a first in best dressed basis.

Criteria;

  • Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter / Precision Fitter / Tool Maker / Diesel Mechanic (Heavy or Light)
  • Rail / rolling stock production workshop/depot exp
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be desirable
  • Must be able to read / interpret workshop drawings
  • Fitting and assembling components
  • Reading of Schematics
