We are on the lookout for talented individuals to join our exceptional Retail Credit Risk team. The available roles are:

  • Senior Analyst - Retail Credit Risk Models
  • Manager - Retail Credit Risk Models

At ING, you'll excel working closely with various departments, benefiting from high visibility among senior stakeholders. Your responsibilities will involve conducting intricate credit risk analysis, leveraging your expertise in credit risk modeling, and utilizing advanced SAS skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform complex credit risk analysis and modeling to optimize profits and asset growth
  • Develop scoring models, updating application and behavior scoring models based on real-world data and cutting-edge risk management technology
  • Create essential statistical models for processes like IRB, IFRS9, application and behavior scorecards, Early Warning System (EWS) models, and stress-testing for retail credit risk portfolios
  • Support the development and maintenance of ING's retail credit risk models, ensuring compliance with regulations and suitability for business use
  • Document models comprehensively and prepare data for model development
  • Produce model monitoring reports and collaborate with the Policy team to identify key credit metrics supporting business growth priorities and monitoring risk trends in IBAL's retail credit portfolio
  • Determine critical data elements for credit risk, ensuring data quality and monitoring standards are met

As the Manager - Retail Credit Risk Models, you will also offer guidance, training, and backing to the modeling team while representing the Head of Retail Risk in governance committees and project groups.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in APS113 and other standard regulatory credit risk requirements
  • Advanced SAS and SQL skills; familiarity with R, Python, or credit decisioning systems is advantageous
  • 1-3 years of credit modeling experience managing large datasets
  • Good understanding of banking products and industry trends
  • Australian market experience with strong interpersonal and communication skills

For the Manager role, you should have 5+ years of credit modeling experience and expertise in staff mentoring and development.
