The Role:

Kairos has recently acquired another prominent government client, leading to an exceptional opportunity for the right candidate to join our team in Melbourne. This offers a unique chance to advance your career beyond the current market offerings. You will collaborate closely with the Directors and the National Operations Manager, receiving the necessary support to excel in our existing operations and new projects.

We are seeking someone who can show initiative, meticulous attention to detail, and a drive to introduce innovative ideas that enhance and streamline data analysis and interpretation.

You should be eager to explore and acquire new data skills, such as data tools, AI automation, and similar technologies.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining processes using Excel, Python, and other tool sets for data extraction and transformation, focusing on data cleansing and optimization for accuracy and completeness.
  • Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of presented data.
  • Providing data-driven recommendations to support strategic initiatives, utilizing Power BI and other Microsoft services.
  • Collaborating with Project Managers and Operations teams on initial build scopes, translating business requirements into technical specifications, and developing solutions accordingly.
  • Creating and maintaining reports and dashboards, structuring disparate data sources and developing suitable visualizations.

Your Skills / Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst / Systems Analyst.
  • Extensive experience in data projects, including data cleansing, exploration, modeling, and visualization.
  • Demonstrated impact with data visualization tools, particularly Power BI.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, macros, MySQL, Python, Power BI, and Power Query.
  • Handling the complete Power BI deployment lifecycle efficiently.
  • Strong data interpretation and report writing skills.
