The Solution Architect – Workplace is a pivotal technical lead architect role, responsible for guiding end user devices technology outcomes. This role collaborates with project teams, operations teams, and various business stakeholders to drive the outcomes for the End user devices Workplace squad and wider Aurecon business. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the long-term modern device management and VDI environments for Aurecon, working closely with the Domain Architect – Workplace to develop this strategy and provide technical guidance to the team. This role is responsible for executing the end user devices part of the Workplace roadmap to achieve project and strategic outcomes for Aurecon.

Here are the key things you'll do to bring ideas to life:

  • Provide overall technical governance for various end user device initiatives within Aurecon
  • Identify and establish best practice technical standards, practices, and policies to ensure robust and fit-for-purpose solutions for projects and initiatives
  • Contribute to the development of High-Level Designs (HLD) and Detailed-Level Designs (DLD) for project initiatives
  • Offer insights from real-world technology deployments to inform domain strategies and roadmaps
  • Perform build & configuration activities related to project initiatives as defined in project architecture
  • Act as a subject matter expert on technologies including ( but not limited to), Intune, SCCM, Citrix, Azure (host for VDI machines)
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and accurate documentation related to technical standards and services across the group
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and transition of project solutions to the IT Operations team.

With experience in a similar Solution Architect role, you will need proficiency in the following:

  • Microsoft modern device management
  • Intune
  • System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Group Policy and Intune Policy
  • Citrix cloud (DaaS)
  • Azure - VDI machines are hosted on Azure in our DaaS environment

The following would be favourable in your application:

  • Certifications in relevant technologies listed above
  • Knowledge of application packaging in SCCM and Intune
  • Knowledge of Patch My PC application update automation
  • A high-level understanding of project management frameworks and an Agile approach
  • A tertiary degree such as Computer Science, Information Systems, or Networking
