Your role

You'll be part of our high-performing Chambers Band 1 Mergers & Acquisitions and Capital Markets (MAC) team, which includes the top-tier Private Equity team. Working with lawyers from all our offices, you'll dive into challenging transactions in various sectors and industries.

At Allens, you'll have exposure to different Partners within the MAC team in Melbourne and nationally. We value specialization and offer a diverse range of work to help you build a strong foundation in your area of expertise.

As a Senior Associate in our MAC team in Melbourne, you will:

  • Engage in public and private M&A, equity capital markets, and corporate advisory work
  • Drive successful outcomes in M&A for top companies and financial sponsors globally
  • Gain insights across sectors like infrastructure, energy, financial services, healthcare, technology, and more

This is a full-time position based in Melbourne with a hybrid working model (at least 60% office-based) allowing flexibility to best suit your needs.

About you

You should bring:

  • Experience in a leading Mergers & Acquisitions practice, ideally from a top national or international firm
  • Strong project management skills for larger matters
  • Ability to lead junior lawyers and engage in business development activities
  • Track record of fostering client and Partner relationships
  • Passion for continuous learning, networking, and mentoring
