The primary objective of the Technology Lead will be to develop and execute a comprehensive IT strategy that supports business goals and objectives.

As the startup company grows, so will your role, with the potential of become a CTO.

The Technology Lead will be a jack of all trades. You will cover everything from Cloud to API's/Microservices to modern DevOps practices, to utilising data, analytics and AI.

You will consult both internally as well as liaising with vendors, 3rd party IT Services businesses, the medical team, the analytics team and key business stakeholders.


The Company:

  • A Medical Analytics startup backed by a global $multibillion insurance enterprise.

Responsibilities:

  • Program Management: Delivery of specified projects that are core to company mission, coordinate the technical (medical) and the technology teams (agency & internal)
  • Technical Architecture: Define and implement scalable and flexible technical architectures that support the company's current and future needs, including cloudbased solutions, microservices, and APIs. Ensure that projects will align to standards and requirements.
  • Quality Assurance: Establish and maintain rigorous quality assurance processes and standards to ensure the reliability, security, and performance of our technology solutions.
  • Emerging Technologies: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends, evaluating their potential impact on our business and exploring opportunities for strategic innovation.
  • Partnerships and

Vendor Management:

Manage and cultivate strategic partnerships with technology vendors, service providers, and industry collaborators to enhance capabilities and accelerate time-to-market.

Form strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Compliance and Security: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards governing technology operations, data privacy, and cybersecurity

Experience:

  • Relevant technical experience ideally in the life insurance industry or startup experience
  • Strong understanding of technology platforms that support insurance risk assessment processes
  • Ability to work in an agile style
  • Strong relationship and stakeholder management
  • Demonstrated ability to show strategic thinking in technology solution opportunities and development.
  • Technical environment: Azure/AWS, Python, , PostgresSQL, CI/CD, API's, Microservices, GraphQL, Analytics, AI
