  • About the job Join a friendly, professional team that is located 300 metres from Mermaid Beach.We are seeking Psychologists to work anywhere from 1 to 4 days per week with days including Saturdays if you prefer. PRA Psychology was first established in 1995 and expanded in 2007 into its own purpose-built and fully-owned clinic 300m from the sand of Mermaid Beach on the beautiful Gold Coast within close proximity to cafes, shops, restaurants and public transport. PRA offers clinical and counselling psychological services to individuals and couples with a broad range of presenting problems. We have Psychologists working in all areas of clinical and counselling psychology using a variety of approaches for all ages across the lifespan. Our team are passionate about making a difference to people's lives and we pride ourselves on being client-centred and compassionate. We offer individual and group peer supervision. We are seeking Clinical Psychologists/Psychologists who have experience with assessing and treating a broad range of conditions including mood and anxiety disorders. Clientele is primarily adult but can include child and adolescent if the practitioner has the expertise and interest. Soon-to-graduate Clinical Psychology Masters students are welcome to apply. Areas of interest are encouraged. Relationship counselling is desirable, but not essential. We currently have a long waiting list and need new team members to spread the load. We offer:

    • A contractor arrangement with a 65:35 fee split
    • Hours that range from 8am to 7pm and you can choose what hours you work

    • Full reception including on-line booking, confirmations and managing of enquiries

    • Marketing on our website and to local health providers via our Practice Manager with qualifications in business development and marketing
    • A rapid build-up of referrals via our established referral network and with our existing practitioners having waitlists
    • Our clinic is located in a building that has a large GP practice, Cardiac specialist, Dentists, Optometrist, Physiotherapist, Pharmacy, QML
    Desired qualifications, experience, skills and abilities:
    • Full registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA
    • Medicare provider status
    • Experience in CBT and other modalities
    • Experience with mood and anxiety disorders
    • ABN or ACN or willingness to arrange that
    • Professional indemnity insurance
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and to be highly organised, self-motivated and driven
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Demonstrated high standard of ethical practice
