Our client has over the 15 years experience and developed into a mature Telecommunications Construction specialist in delivering infrastructure design, construction, integration and maintenance services.

We are seeking and experienced Fibre Splicer to join a. This role requires a competent, experienced Fibre Splicer & Fault Finder on Network. You will have a firm understanding of the Telstra Fibre Network (Topology) or similar optical networks. There will also be a requirement as part of your technician role to become competent with all FAD installation.

Experience:

• Working within the Telstra CAN, and IEN Networks
• Telstra Wideband experience
• Wideband TRPB / TEQP
• Telstra hot cutovers/relocations/router installs.
• Experience with Telstra OJs and In Line UCNs
• Working on live carrier Fibre networks
• Terminating large core counts into FTP's and joint enclosures
• Working in existing Live FTP's and joints
• Preparation of optical fibre cable and various enclosures (Raychem/Tyco, W&B, Corning) for termination.
• Fault location and rectification skills
• OTDR / IL and Fibre splicing accreditation.
• Experience completing Telstra Wideband Workbooks
• Rod Roping / Hauling experience desired.
• Ability to create & maintain working spreadsheets.
