What you'll be doing


The Administration Officer provides a comprehensive range of administration support and customer service to the staff and consumers of NSLHD, in the pursuit of department outcomes.

The Administrative Officer will work closely with existing administration staff and complement existing roles, systems and processes in the Community Aged Care Rehabilitation Service (CAReS).

The Administrative Officer (AO) will assist with the provision of the Service by:

  • Presenting a professional first line contact to all users of the Service.
  • Maintaining accurate and complete Centre data base programs.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely data entry into Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and the My Aged Care systems.
  • Providing efficient and accurate administrative support for members of the health care team at CAReS under the direction of the service Manager.

  • Excellent communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in word processing, spread sheet and database software with an understanding of Medical Terminology, or willingness to undertake training.
