The opportunity


Ready to step up and make your mark in the events space, then this role is for you Due to an internal promotion, we are looking for a dynamic and energetic Events Advisor.


You will be joining us during our busy events season, where your outstanding organisational skills and engaging communications will shine.

As our Events Advisor, you will be instrumental in shaping our events strategy as well as being the key contact for internal stakeholders and external stakeholders - such as local community groups, local council authorities and businesses.

At the forefront of what you do, will be building positive strategic event outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Represent GWW at community events and networks, by building strong and meaningful relationships, and supporting to achieve a smooth and professional event delivery
  • Identify and assess risks and opportunities in event delivery and recommend appropriate mitigations
  • Develop tools and resources to support our internal stakeholders to understand, plan, deliver and evaluate a strategic events program
  • Identify content opportunities to communicate GWW team projects and events to our customers and community

Skills & Experience

  • A qualification in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or similar and/or demonstrated experience in event management and sponsor relations
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and delivering successful events
  • Customer centric focus, outstanding project management and organisational skills
  • Ability to selfmanage, work autonomously and mentor other staff
  • Ability to deliver results under pressure and manage competing deadlines
  • Exceptional verbal and written skills, with a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a diverse audience.
