About the opportunity:


Seeking an Automation Test Analyst to develop and implement the test automation suite in-line with Enterprise Test Automation Guardrails, supporting functional/system testing which make up the Department's core business processing systems.


  • You will identify opportunities for automation within software processes, using scripts that test functionality through analysis, test preparation, test execution, test data management, defect management, and technical troubleshooting activities.

Duties:

  • Prepare, create, maintain, execute and review test requirements and scripts, derived from design analysis and liaise with design, build and business teams
  • Perform script analysis, test estimation, track work against estimates, report variances to team management, and manage resources to ensure project deliverables are met
  • Create, execute, and report highquality test artefacts such as matrix, cases, defects, complex test data.
  • Raise defects, gather information for defect entries and identifying points of failure and organising resources in the investigation of issue.
  • Review testing artefacts, including strategies, plans, risk assessments, test specifications and/or status reports.
  • Review project documents with the ability to analyse highly complex systems and interdependencies, identifying key automation tests with a view on Return on Investment.
  • Monitor, analyse and provide recommendations to improve ROI and funnel effectiveness, as well as optimise and streamline existing scripts and processes.
  • Identify, design, build, and maintain test automation suites using appropriate tools.
  • Provide recommendations towards financial planning and budgeting within the project and using sound judgement collates and provides an analysis of financial data and reports to facilitate decision making.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide onthejob training to automation resources and manual testers participating in automation training.
  • Improve test automation capabilities to increase efficiencies in delivery and support.

Demonstrated experience (6+ years) as a Senior Technical/Automation Test Analyst, including:

  • Desirable Programming/scripting (Java & C#).
  • Testing automation tools (Selenium, Appium, SOAP UI, TestNG, JUnit, MsTest, Postman, Tosca)
  • Working in CI/CD environment/ Test automation Pipeline using YAML.
  • Mobile test automation and API automation.
  • Test Management tools and DevOps tool chain.
  • Working with various testing methodologies including Waterfall and Agile.
  • Delivery focused, demonstrated track record of seeing projects through to completion.

Mandatory:

  • High level of capability with a range of test automation tools and languages, such as VBScript/VB.NET, Selenium, Appium, Java, C#, Rest Assured, Rest Sharp, Maven, SoapUI, JavaScript, SQL, NoSQL, HTML, and other languages.
  • ISTQB Advanced Level Test Analyst or equivalent.
  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Certification in automation tools such as Tricentis TOSCA or similar enterprise scale commercial test automation tools.
