About You

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Partner to support NAB's Business Lending division. As the Finance Partner, you will offer commercial financial leadership, guidance and support to the business including financial planning, control, forecasting, reporting, analysis, and advisory services.

This is achieved through understanding and interpreting financial and non-financial results, business drivers, and trends to enable a better grasp of business performance and enhance decision-making.

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Translate the business unit's strategy into an effective plan, providing direction to the leadership team to achieve objectives within strategic parameters.
  • Assist in growing the business in alignment with strategic goals and ensuring benefits from transformation/simplification are attained.
  • Provide monthly reporting, analyze performance drivers, and explain variances from plans and prior periods.
  • Support the preparation of semi-annual and annual reports with high-quality commentary and meeting deadlines.
  • Identify performance trends through analysis and recommend strategies to boost business performance.
  • Offer insights to help the business understand plan changes and meet objectives.
  • Collaborate for standardizing reporting and financial control activities across Finance for simplification.
  • Support financial processes for the business unit adhering to NAB Group standards.
  • Challenge management decisions, advising leadership teams on critical choices and trade-offs.

Your Capabilities, Experience & Qualifications:
  • Proficient in stakeholder management, capable of challenging management proposals for business unit performance.
  • Diverse experience in Finance disciplines including partnering with divisions, corporate planning, and financial control roles.
  • Commerce/Business/Finance degree. CA/CPA certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment with strong data and business intelligence skills.
  • Proficient in process, risk, and controls related to reporting and analysis.
  • Advocate and drive change while ensuring effective controls and governance.
  • Skilled in process improvement and implementation of reengineering initiatives.
  • Professional background in finance/accounting, financial services, or corporate reporting.
