Our Venue Management team are currently seeking to appoint 2 x Pool Operations Supervisors at the Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

This role is responsible for supervising and managing a pool of lifeguards, overseeing the safe use of facilities and advising centre employees of any special requirements.

The successful applicant will have the following key accountabilities:

  • Implementing operational systems and procedures and allocate resources to ensure all venue operational requirements are met and maintain high standards of service delivery, venue presentation, safety and security.
  • Supervise the safe use of the facilities and promptly identify and action potential issues which may cause injury or illness to staff or patrons.
  • Ensure daily booking and operational schedules are implemented to ensure customer needs are met.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of customer complaints and review feedback to continually improve processes and service.
  • Ensure that all supplies and assets are stored securely and properly accounted for.
  • Ensure compliance with the Centre's Emergency Management Plan including carrying out duties as facility Chief Warden.
  • Provide team leadership and supervise the performance of direct reports by setting work objectives, assessing performance and providing feedback, development and coaching to develop staff capabilities and meet work objectives.
  • Ensure the prompt reporting and action of maintenance and cleaning issues

About You


Client service is paramount in our day-to-day efforts, and you will work closely with your stakeholders to implement the use of the world class facilities located at Sydney Olympic Park Aquatic Centre.

You must always act ethically and professionally, uphold, and promote the values aligned to the public sector.

You will need to be able to plan, prioritise tasks for the team and individually aligning to the outlined tasks and changing priorities.

Your ability to clearly communicate with both internal and external stakeholders is key to this role.

You will need to possess an ability and commitment to customer service and be accountable for your actions, work within a team environment, follow safe work practices.

You will need to demonstrate a sound understanding of IT systems and have an ability to manage and develop people
- and assist any team member to enhance their performance and skill set.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Senior First Aid Certificate including Advanced Resuscitation
