The Opportunity

With just five minutes apart from each other, The Oaks Retirement Village (in Fulham) and Leisure Court Retirement Village (in Fulham Gardens) have an opportunity for a dedicated Maintenance Gardener to join their team. As a passionate people person, you will be responsible for the day-to-day upkeep of our gardens and grounds across both our villages. Working closely with staff and the residents, you will ensure our gardens and grounds are well-maintained, presentable and safe for all to enjoy. You'll enjoy spending time outdoors, connecting with residents and the ability to work autonomously.

This is a permanent full-time position working Monday-Friday 8-4pm based at The Oaks Retirement Village, with two-half days spent at Leisure Court Retirement Village

You will

Attend to various requests to create a safe & pleasant environment for residents, visitors and staff Be responsible for the maintenance of all village gardens including weeding, mowing, hedging, pruning, mulching and green waste removal Ensure all community spaces are appealing and safe for our community and visitors Carry out preventative maintenance tasks around the community as per schedules Complete additional adhoc tasks delegated to you by Community Leaders Build strong relationships with our residents and enjoy helping them to live their best lives with well-maintained areas.

What you'll bring

A warm & caring personality with an interest to make a difference every day Experience in Gardening duties (highly desired) Current Police Check certificate (required, but if you do not possess, we can complete for you) Valid driver's licence and Two (2) COVID-19 Vaccinations (required)
