Brake Press Operator/Machinist

About the company:

Leading electrical engineering manufacturer specializing in integrated electrical, electronic and control solutions based in the Eastern Suburbs. Servicing the mining and camping industries Australia wide for 40+ years.

In this role you will be:

  • Set and operate Brake press
  • Assist with other areas such as laser and assembly
  • Lead a small team in the fabrication area
  • Measuring parts with Vernier, Micrometer and CMM
  • Spot welding set and operate - MIG experience highly regarded

Requirements

To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Able to use a multitude of hand tools and machines related to machine and fabrication shops(specific machine training will be provided)
  • Solid understanding of basic welding and brake press operation
  • High attention to detail and able to read working drawings
  • Working knowledge of basic quality principles
  • Good communication skills - Leadership qualities
