Job Description

As the Credit Manager, your main role is to ensure that all debtors stay within the Company's limits, safeguarding the credit provided, and improving recoveries while minimizing losses. Provide accurate financial information to assist Business Unit operations, following all Panasonic policies, International Financial Reporting Standards, and local reporting regulations. Develop strategies to manage risk factors, maximize cash flows, and protect corporate assets.

The key responsibilities you will have:

  • Supervise the credit team activities to collect outstanding balances, maintain credit limits, and manage debts effectively
  • Keep sales executives informed and seek their assistance in managing customer collections
  • Prepare annual collection budgets by sales division/channel and for the entire company
  • Meet cash flow expectations by forecasting collections
  • Maintain the ERP system to meet audit requirements and ensure effective credit limit and risk management
  • Ensure compliance with credit trade practices, contracts, and consumer laws
  • Share monthly management reports with stakeholders regarding AR balances, collection ratios, and reasons for late payments

Key expertise for the role:

  • Completion of a Credit Management Course from TAFE or recognized institution
  • Leadership experience in credit management with direct reports
  • Understanding of risk management and credit rating methods
  • Experience in customer relations, negotiation, and ERP system usage
  • Familiarity with Sarbanes Oxley compliance
  • Knowledge of credit insurance risk management and policy negotiation
  • Ability to find innovative solutions and work effectively in a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
