At Ambulance Victoria (AV) we are proud to share our commitment to save and improve lives by providing outstanding care for our patients.

It is our promise to every patient, and it sits at the heart of everything we do.

No matter what corporate or support role you play in delivering our critical services to the Victorian public, you join a team dedicated to bringing our vision of 'Outstanding emergency health care every time' to life.

Many rural and regional hospitals do not have a stroke specialist on site or lack around-the-clock access to stroke expertise.

The Victorian Stroke Telemedicine (VST) service is unique within Australia and provides treatment advice and management for patients who present to VST participating hospitals with suspected stroke symptoms.

VST is a virtual service which enables cross organisational collaboration to ensure stroke patients receive the best possible care no matter their location.

The VST Call Taker is a new role and there are several part time positions available for dedicated people to become valuable members of the VST team.

Working on a rotating roster between the hours of 0800 and midnight, seven days a week, the call taker is the first point of contact for the VST service.

These permanent opportunities will initially be based in South Melbourne, however, will soon move to a new facility in Essendon Fields.
