The Role
As a member of the DDG (Defence Digital Group) ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) Business Readiness Team, the successful applicant will be introduced to the range of changes required to deliver the ERP transformation in Defence.

Specifically, this role will be focused on business readiness activities occurring across DDG for the ERP Program rollout. You will find yourself immersed in new concepts that will challenge the status quo and learn how an integrated system will actually work in the Defence environment.

In addition, you will also assist with the management of the DDG business readiness functions including schedule, risk/issues management and role mapping activities as it relates to both ERP and broader Transformation Program initiatives adopting project management principles.

About our Team
The DDG ERP Business Readiness Team within Group Operations Division is a highly motivated team.

You will be exposed to the internal operations of DDG and provided with an opportunity to influence new ways of working though the business readiness activities required to be undertaken for the ERP Program. ERP will be a significant change for Defence with new concepts being introduced in human resources, procurement, finance, case management, supply chain management and military planning and operations, and simplified end to end processes.

Extensive stakeholder engagement and knowledge management is key to being successful in this role, and you will build extensive working relationships across DDG and the broader Defence.

Our Ideal Candidate
 The ERP Program is a significant change for Defence with the successful candidate being exposed to the future roadmap of the applications landscape and the readiness activities required to successfully transition to ERP.

The main focus of this role is to assist with the coordination of a range of activities including data analysis and remediation activities and project management functions for ERP business readiness within the DDG.

To be effective in this role you will learn and understand the critical role DDG performs within Defence.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

High level interpersonal and verbal communication skills and the ability to liaise with a broad range of stakeholders, including contractors, APS and ADF members. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft's suite of applications, including Outlook, Teams, and Word. A high proficiency in Microsoft Excel, specifically data analysis. Highly developed written communication skills and a solid grasp of information technology systems with an eagerness to train and learn on Defence applications and systems. The ability to learn rapidly and adapt quickly to changing complex situations and uncertainty. The ability to be comfortable and confident taking ownership of outcomes and leading tasks to completion and success. The ability to manage and interpret large volumes of data and undertake remediation activates in accordance with Program timeframes. The team is based in Canberra, however if a regionally based candidate is the successful applicant, discussions regarding remote working arrangements will occur.
