In this role, you'll:


Provide end-to-end tax accounting services encompassing the preparation, analysis and lodgement of payroll tax, general sales tax, fuel tax credit, fringe benefit tax, and taxable payments annual reporting.

Working in a close team environment, you will assist and complement the work of others in the tax accounting team.

You will also be comfortable working closely with a range of stakeholders across the business, ensuring that lodgement of tax obligations are completed on time and to the highest quality.


You will work closely with the Senior Tax Accountant in delivering specific tax accounting activities which include GST, FBT, BAS, Fuel Tax Credits, Payroll Tax etc.

You will be responsible to identify system and process improvements that improve the quality of tax reports and the timely delivery of tax services.


About you

  • Experience working in tax accounting in a large organisation
  • Experience with and sound understanding of relevant legislation and regulations and commercial accounting practices relating to government organisations.
  • Demonstrated skill in building rapport, understanding stakeholder requirements and resolving concerns.
  • Demonstrated capability to communicate clearly, concisely and appropriately both orally and in writing.
  • Sound numeracy ability with solid analytical and problemsolving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt, to learn and implement new processes and procedures as new technology, service requirements and work methods emerge
