Architectural Draftsperson

Doctors & Co has an exciting new opportunity for a full-time Architectural Draftsperson to join our dynamic team. Doctors & Co. Fit-out specialises in medical centres building and fit outs across rural and regional Australia.

Due to our rapid growth, our team is expanding and recruiting full time roles for dedicated and professional Architectural Draftspersons based in Wollongong.

Reporting to the CEO and Principal Operations manager, you will be positioned across a range of varied medical centres, including new projects and alterations and additions.

Essential Skills & Experience

To grow in this role, you will be highly motivated and robust, professional, and have an exceptional eye for detail.

About you:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in similar or same role.
• Diploma, Bachelor's degree, or Masters
• Dynamo, Grasshopper, Rhino, Adobe Creative Cloud Skills desirable
• Sound understanding of BCA, Australian Standards, development controls and construction
• Ability to interpret architectural plans and detailed construction drawings
• Professional verbal communication and excellent written communication skills
• High level of attention to detail with high accuracy on reviewing and preparing documents
• Organised and methodical approach to processing project briefs in a timely manner

Tasks:

• Assists construction managers, architects and surveyors in planning and organisation
• Interprets plans, regulations, and codes of practice
• Prepares preliminary sketches, working drawings and specifications
• Prepares, edits and revises plans, maps, charts, and drawings
• Coordinates works programs
• Accurate preparation of draft plans & working drawings that incorporates floorplans, elevations, internal drawings, plumbing and slab layouts
• Interacting with multiple internal stakeholders including project coordinators, estimators, colour selection consultants and permits team
• Production of construction drawings including reviews and amendments
• Problem solving construction and drafting related matters

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Assist with producing high quality design and building documentation from conceptual plans to complete documentation packages
• Coordinate and deliver work within the project requirements, deadlines, scope, and fee
• Develop and draw to integrate / coordinate designs of other consultants
