About the role

  • Assist in the management of all the Patient Support Services Caboolture Hospital ensuring that an effective and efficient service is maintained.
  • Manage staff within contemporary Human Resources management principles to achieve quality outcomes.
  • Promote the Patient Support Services department by networking with staff and clients to achieve client focussed quality outcomes.
About you

  • Comprehensive knowledge of cleaning, porterage and patient assistance services as applicable to a large health facility including maintaining quality management standards.
  • Ability to coordinate, lead & manage floor based teams in the practice of continuous quality improvement, in meeting appropriate standards and achieving benchmarks in a large organisation.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and ability to effectively coordinate the resources of Patient Support Services, into an effective work unit in line with quality Human Management practices.
  • High level of communication, negotiation, consultation and interpersonal skills in an environment of change and evolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate with a high level of independence in a multiDisciplinary team in the performance of day to day duties and to take initiative in situations not covered by existing policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of or an ability to acquire knowledge of procedures, policies, regulations and standards, which impact upon the position, in particular Public-Sector Guidelines, and a knowledge of contemporary human resource Management issues such as workplace health and safety, equal employment opportunity and antidiscrimination.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of patient assistance techniques, cleaning procedures, best practice and quality management principles.
  • Proven knowledge and the ability to manage a large and varied team of oriented work force into an effective client and quality focussed work unit.
