Metro Trains Melbourne (MTM) takes pride in "Moving Melbourne" and aims to provide a world class railway.


This is your chance to be part of an organization working on multiple projects in Victoria's Big Build which is delivering 165 major road and rail projects, including Metro Tunnel, a second underground railway for Melbourne with 5 new stations, removal of 85 level crossings across Melbourne and the Melbourne Airport Rail.


ABOUT THE ROLE


The Contracts Project Analyst is responsible for implementing contract and commercial processes understanding key contracts, managing contract compliance including deliverables and milestones, reviewing KPIs and SLA adherence, invoice validation and processing, monitoring and reporting on contracts performance including contract spend and assisting Contracts Manager.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Contract administration, budgets, processing of payment claims in line with contracts, variation valuations to ensure financial and operational commitments are met or exceeded.
  • Evaluation of variations and claims.
  • Timely and accurate preparation of the monthly cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Preparation of monthly commercial report: developing dashboards, project workings and cost data.
  • Project governance and risk management
  • Develop key project artefacts, project support including process maps, communications plans, operational/user documentation, change and communication management activities.
  • Financial reporting and impact analysis of key commercial decisions, associated risks and impact to project cost forecasts.

ABOUT YOU

  • A relevant Tertiary qualification in finance/business or equivalent with 5+ year's relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Good commercial and financial acumen
  • Experienced in month end cost reporting and forecasting.
  • Knowledge of current cost control and project management methods, procedures and processes,
  • Experience in contracts administration, cost control and contingency and risk management functions on major projects preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fastpaced and detailoriented environment
