Carmichael College is a dynamic, developing College, committed to educational excellence in an overt and distinctly Christian environment. We are a non-denominational, independent Christian school located in Morayfield, Queensland. Currently the College offers a Prep to Year 10 program, extending each year to Year 12 in 2025. With a current student population of 700, projections indicate that student numbers will peak at around 1,400.

The Role:
This position is focused on providing support to the Secondary Head of Department of Physical Education and Sport.

Day to day key tasks and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

• Leading and delivering Secondary Gala days, interschool sports days and other extracurricular sport events, including preparation, communication, workplace health and safety, bus management.
• Support for planning and implementation of Sports Carnivals, Cross Country, Athletics and Swimming Carnivals.

Actively contribute to development of HPE Programs.
Creation and organisation of permission slips, risk assessments, run sheets and communication to students/parents and staff.
Extensive communication with a variety of external and internal stakeholders
General and specific support as required for the Head of Department.

The Person:
To be the successful applicant you will need to demonstrate:

• A high level of proficiency in organising and coordinating sporting events
• Advanced skills in administration and computer literacy (Microsoft Office
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint essential) and be 'tech savvy'
• High level written communication skills
• Effective time management strategies and the ability to prioritise competing deadlines
• Commitment to a personal faith in Jesus Christ and able to translate faith into practice
• Personal philosophies that align with, and fully support the College mission, values and beliefs as expressed in the College Statement of Faith
• Strong interpersonal skills having experience with discretion and executing judgement
• High level of resilience and the ability to respond to changing demands/needs
• Proactivity and reliability with a solid stable work history
• Flexibility, forward thinking, enthusiasm, confidence with decision making, and excellent problemsolving skills
• Great attention to detail and demonstrated team participation with a high level of responsiveness (essential)
• The ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality (essential)
• A current Blue Card (working with children check)
