The Position:

  • Leading a team of high performing English teachers with full oversight of all teaching and learning aspects for students.
  • Working with a broad range of stakeholders, including students, teachers and parents to meet individual student learning needs.
  • Committing to wellbeing and meeting the social and emotional wellbeing needs of students.
  • Engaging in professional learning, including contributing to the broader education community.
  • Collaborating and contributing to a team and faculty of professional educators.
  • Utilising ICT to facilitate and enrich student learning and engagement beyond the classroom.


In additional to being a Head of English, you will also be a Connect Teacher, which will require you to engage with a Connect group on a daily basis.

This is a permanent full-time position, starting in Term 4 2024, or by negotiation.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will have relevant qualifications and experience teaching English.

You will display leadership qualities by guiding the team and students throughout our academic program, whilst embedding our school's values of courage, strength, grace, wisdom, and kindness.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, building rapport with various staff members and students. HSC marking experience is desirable.
