As an Assistant Retail Store Manager at Telstra, you will collaborate closely with the Store Manager to mentor and develop your team. Leverage your management experience to guide our retail consultants towards success, ensuring they are motivated and determined to achieve and surpass store goals.

What you will be responsible for

  • Supervising the onboarding process for new team members
  • Coaching the team to meet (and exceed) store objectives
  • Assisting the team with customer inquiries
  • Acting as the Store Manager's right-hand person, assuming Store Manager responsibilities when necessary
  • Implementing business strategies in the store to achieve financial and customer targets
  • Being a team motivator, leading by example and inspiring the team while nurturing a positive store culture
  • Organizing the store layout and team schedules to meet customer needs

About you

  • Prior experience in a leadership/assistant management role in retail
  • Ability to motivate and guide a retail team to surpass sales targets and KPIs with proven success
  • Lead by example and build connections with a diverse team
  • Skilled in resolving customer issues and innovative problem-solving
  • Strong communication skills to assist the Store Manager in guiding team members through changes
