They are looking for someone who has a rail and civil background who can come in and help deliver various projects.

This role will be a site based role.
They will provide some training and guide you through their processes in order for you develop your career. Responsibilities

Responsible for providing commercial, financial and contractual support to the Project Manager during the performance of individual or various projects to ensure that those projects attain financially and commercially successful outcomes.


  • Act as the gatekeeper of contract risk, alerting and liaising with project teams and senior management to actively manage contract risk.
  • Liaise with Finance Department to ensure insurances and Insurance Bonds / Bank Guarantees are in place with Client in timely manner and retrieved at project completion.
  • Reviewing incoming contractual correspondences from Clients / Subcontractors / Suppliers related to the projects and prepare necessary contractual responses.
  • Submit progress claims on time with a focus on maximising income as well as invoice agreed claims and ensure cash is collected from clients.
  • Progress Reporting / Financial Reporting on Projects Follow.
  • Preparation of variations / claims / EOTs as needed. Liaise with Commercial Manager and project team where necessary.
  • Provide feedback to Estimating on actual rates developed in the course of delivering projects and market conditions.
  • Prepare a contract review of tender documents identifying specific risks. Advise Estimating team on clarifications to be include in the submission.

What we are looking for:

  • Minimum 5 years' post graduate proven experience in a commercial role within the construction industry.
  • Degree in Business Finance, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or Engineering.
  • Rail or Civil experienced preferred.
  • Can demonstrate worked through full lifecycle of projects.
  • Understanding of project accounting, project controls, reporting including risk & opportunity, procurement, contracts administration and general administrative functions.
  • Ability to recognise efficiencies and savings in delivering projects.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong oral and written skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • Microsoft Office, integrated accounting software, document control software.
