About the Opportunity:
As an integral part of the Elmac team, the Administrative Officer plays a vital role in ensuring exceptional customer experience, particularly in the early stages of client interaction. This role also involves providing comprehensive clerical and administrative support across the wider team, focusing on construction admin and general office tasks. Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities are key to success in this position.

Key Responsibility Areas:

  • General office and administrative tasks to support the effective operations of the business including tasks relating to all aspects of the business and client lifecycle.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for prospective clients including qualifying new business leads, liaising with clients to identify their needs and whether our services align with their needs, organising client appointments and preparation of necessary information and documentation for meetings.
  • Working closely with the Office Manager to ensure the business operations are managed efficiently and ensure high-quality support including supporting basic finance functions, record keeping and compliance with various legislation and audit requirements.
  • Providing project administrative support including assisting with subcontractor onboarding and compliance, safety system management, project estimation support and liaising if required with suppliers, contractors, other external stakeholders, and clients.

  • At least 3 – 5 years of experience in a busy administration, reception, or customer-facing role.
  • An engaging and warm personal style to build client rapport quickly.
  • The ability to have a positive impact on clients, co-workers, external stakeholders through the work you deliver and the personal approach you take.
  • A high level of care, quality, and attention to detail in everything you do.
  • Confidence, a positive presence, and the ability to work autonomously when required.
  • The ability to prioritise work, manage multiple tasks, and deliver to deadlines.
