Kyogle MPS network is seeking an Assistant in Nursing (Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinator) to coordinate the activities program within the MPS network.

Work as part of a multidisciplinary team and be responsible for the planning, organisation, implementation and evaluation of the activities program, utilising both individual and group activities, with the aim of maintaining or improving resident abilities, promoting independence and wellbeing.

The Assistant in Nursing provides direct care to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, including assisting with patient care interventions as directed and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required.


If you have:

  • CHC30208 Certificate III in Aged Care or CHC33015 Certificate III in Individual Support;
    OR equivalent experience;
    OR completion of one (1) or more years of training as an undergraduate nursing student AND successful completion of Certificate 4 in Leisure and Lifestyle (or similar) or willingness to complete same within 12 months of employment
  • Good knowledge of basic nursing care including physiologic observations and assistance with activities of daily living
  • Knowledge of Infection Prevention and Control standard precautions
