The Position
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Emergency Medicine Physician FACEM to join a friendly and supportive team. You will work within a collaborative and innovative environment, delivering high quality care to patients within the department. You will also display leadership and guidance in the teaching and supervision of junior medical staff.
- Excellent exposure to a wide variety of pathologies in a mixed Emergency Department
- A flexible, family friendly roster
The hospital is an around 300 bed facility with a 12 bed ICU, 16 bed CCU, a Special Care Nursery and 13 operating theatres. The growing Emergency Department sees 17,000+ patients per year with approximately 15% paediatric presentations.
- 24 months ACEM-accredited
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, effective, and responsive care in the Emergency Department.
- Manage a broad range of emergencies, including adult medicine, pediatrics, psychiatry, trauma, and more.
- Handle major trauma cases from road, farm, and factory incidents as a regional trauma center.
- Collaborate with various specialties including Obstetrics and Gynecology, Psychiatry, ICU, Plastics, Orthopedics, Geriatrics, General Surgery, and Medicine.
- Assist the Clinical Director in developing and implementing a teaching program.
- Supervise and train undergraduate and postgraduate students in the Emergency Department.
