Community Support Worker

We are seeking casual Support Workers within the Toowoomba region to start immediately.

Empowered Therapy and Training is an organisation with an understanding of the needs within our community.

We pride ourselves on our knowledge of the communities we support, and how to develop both services & opportunities to support people in their goal to live a positive life, both in their home and socially.


QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Certificate III in Disability Services or Equivalent
  • Senior First Aid Certificate + CPR Certificate
  • Manual Handling
  • NDIS Orientation Certificate
  • Medication Administration (preferred but not mandatory)
  • Valid and Current QLD or International Driver's Licence
  • Yellow Card (completed by worker)
  • Blue Card (completed by worker)
  • 3 years (plus) experience in working with people with a disability, including those with complex care needs (preferred)
  • Experience in managing people with a disability, who have complex needs and behaviours that require intervention
  • Working knowledge of the requirements of the Disability Services Act, the UN Convention of Rights of People with a Disability, the National Disability Insurance scheme and other relevant statutory requirements relevant to the position.
Pay Incentives will be included.
