The Opportunity

A thrilling and fulfilling opportunity awaits you to lead and drive the outcomes of Maribyrnong City Council's Early Years Team in the role of Maribyrnong Coordinator Early Years and Partnerships. In this pivotal position, you will strategize for the range of child, youth, and family services to cater to the evolving needs of our community at different life stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing leadership to the Early Years Team to ensure high-quality outputs across various services, projects, and programs
  • Fostering strong partnerships with different government departments and services in the local early years, family support, and health sectors
  • Promoting collaboration with internal and external stakeholders through an inclusive approach that engages various levels and agencies
  • Actively participating and guiding stakeholder groups to identify emerging issues, trends, funding opportunities, and research in the early years sector
  • Implementing a continuous improvement strategy focused on clear evaluation methods to assess actions and develop future activities

About You

To be eligible for this position, you should have:

  • Relevant Tertiary qualifications (children's services, community development, or related human/social sciences disciplines)
  • Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing early years services, programs, projects, and initiatives
  • Strong commitment to contemporary change management principles and empowering a culture of sustainable change
  • Demonstrated ability in utilizing analytical and conceptual skills for innovation and leading continuous improvement initiatives
  • Understanding of the current context and needs of children and families with the ability to develop suitable responses, especially within the Maribyrnong community
  • Ability to translate strategic ideas into day-to-day activities
