The In-Service Support (ISS) Business Scheduler and Planner is an integrated element of the ISS Program Support Team and ensuring that all Sustainment Programs have detailed plans for business and contract deliverables management.

Owning the Resourcing planning activities, as well as the master schedules this role will ensure smooth business management for all Programs and enable proactive decision making to lesson business risk.

The Business Scheduler and Planner will oversee the following key activities:

  • Create, own, update and publish the ISS Master Schedule for all Program deliverable requirements. This includes allocating activities to resources, publishing progress reports and flagging schedule risks.
  • Developing, managing, updating and publishing the ISS resource forecast with a plan that captures all core and noncore ISS work, allowing for proactive resource management and scheduling of activities.
  • Working closely with the PMs and ISC Operations team to ensure noncore Program needs (e.g., S&Q activities) are understood, resourced and a plan is in place for execution success.
  • Support the Program Support Manager in delivering successful outcomes to all ISS Programs.
  • Working with the ILS emerging capability manager to define ISS resource demands sand ensuring a schedule is evident.
This critical role reports to the ISS Program Support Manager and indirectly to applicable ISS Program Managers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring an ISS Master Schedule is published for all ISS Programs to allow for effective resourcing and CDRL deliverables.
  • Developing a robust resourcing plan to ensure all Program requirements are achieved and resource clashes/shortfalls are evident.
  • Flag resourcing gaps and risks proactively to allow for effective decision making.
  • Working on future growth requirements with regards to people, processes, tools, and facilities.
  • Ensure that all relevant contracted requirements and metrics are measured and met.
  • Provide support to L3HCA bids and proposals as required.
  • Contribute to the Leadership of Sustainment Programs.

Experience & Education Requirements:

  • Current Australian NV1Security Clearance
  • Understanding of ILS operations
  • Proven experience in managing teams, KPI's and contractual deliverables in defence industry
  • Excellent communication and written skills
