Western Diagnostic Pathology (WDP) provides diagnostic pathology services to more than two million patients throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory each year. We have 10 medical laboratories across the region, more than 200 collection sites, and a team of nearly 1000 people who are dedicated to providing quality care to patients, and accurate and timely results to medical practitioners. About the position:


We are currently recruiting for full time, part time and casual Pathology Collectors to join our team across Western Australia (including regional locations) and Northern Territory.

The positions may be based in Collection Centres, Hospitals (including ward rounds), commercial locations and patient residence.


The role is responsible for the collection of blood and specimens from patients in an accurate, professional and timely manner.

This role requires you to work at numerous collection centres so the ability to work both independently and as part of a team is essential.


To be successful in this role, your will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience in Pathology Collection with a Cert III in Pathology Collection (preferred)
  • HLTPAT005 Collect Specimens for Drugs of Abuse testing (desirable)
  • Current police clearance
  • Current First aid certificate (desirable)
  • Current Working with Children Check (WCC)
  • Computer literate with skills in Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work Monday to Sunday including public holidays
  • Ability to deliver outstanding customer service with a commitment to service excellence
  • Strong time management, interpersonal, communication and organisational skills;
  • Must be a cohesive and contributing member of the team and display positive attitudes towards achieving outcomes
