The Location
This location offers all services expected of a vibrant, bustling modern city whilst maintaining the relaxed coastal feeling.

It is in a captivating position, nestled into the rising contour of Victoria's south-west coast amid green dairying country and overlooking the deep blue of the Southern Ocean.

The city is large enough to have everything you would want in terms of infrastructure and facilities yet still maintains its country town charm and feel.

Only a 3 hour drive to Melbourne with a direct train service daily.

The Facility

The hospital serves a catchment in excess of 110,000 and comprises of a total of 282 beds and an extensive range of primary and community services.

The department cares for approx.

750 births each year and provides both antenatal and gynaecological public outpatient clinics, including general gynaecology, urogynaecology, colposcopy and laparoscopic surgery for the south west region.

The department is supported by 4 O & G Specialists, 2 accredited registrars, 2 GP registrars and an HMO.
Wards include medicine, surgery, obstetrics and gynaecology, 6 bed critical care unit, dialysis, emergency, inpatient psychiatry, GEM and rehabilitation.

The Position

Provide specialist Obstetrics and Gynaecology services including the care of inpatient and ambulatory patients, within the Obstetrics and Gynaecology Department, regional hospitals and remote communities, contribute to post graduate education.

You will provide exceptional leadership within a multi-disciplinary team of medical officers and midwives, as well as providing supervision and support to doctors in training.



Requirements
Hold current Specialist Registration with AHPRA and hold the fellowship of RANZCOG.

Have had your specialist training assessed by RANZCOG and have been found to be substantially comparable. IMG with RANZCOG interview date. NZ FRANZCOG's
