About the role


Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals living with dementia and their families? Do you thrive in a dynamic, compassionate and supportive environment? If so, we have the perfect opportunity for you to join us as Respite Coordinator on a permanent full-time basis.


Planning is underway to move our respite and social centre to Maddington (from Wembley) to grow our services capacity and implement new innovative services.


About you
You'll have a passion for supporting consumers with dementia to live their best lives, while also having:

  • Demonstrated experience working with individuals living with dementia and their families (preferably in a respite setting).
  • Strong understanding of dementiaspecific care practices, including behaviour support techniques, appropriate therapeutic interventions and the ability to oversee the implementation of activities that enhance the wellbeing and autonomy of participants.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with clients and their families as well as internal and external stakeholders to drive referrals.
  • Empathy, patience and a genuine passion for improving the lives of others.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team while also demonstrating initiative and autonomy.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to tailor services to meet the unique needs of each individual.
  • National Police Clearance (obtained within the last 6 months)
