We are looking for a skilled civil Project Manager to join our team in Sydney. This is a 2-year Fixed Term Contract opportunity.

Role Overview

Join the reputable NSW Civil and Infrastructure Project Management team based in Sydney. As part of this role, you will bring your expertise in Civil Project Management to oversee unique and challenging projects such as The Gables. Your excellent communication skills will be essential in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders to achieve business goals.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide civil project management expertise from project initiation to completion
  • Ensure projects are planned, designed, and executed safely, meeting quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements
  • Develop and implement delivery strategies using specialized project management tools for complex projects
  • Promote operational enhancement by sharing best practices within the organization
  • Proactively communicate and report on project milestones
  • Optimize project cost plans in collaboration with various parties to achieve cost efficiencies
  • Lead the procurement and delivery of civil and landscape construction in alignment with project schedules
  • Support the development team with technical guidance and delivery inputs
  • Meet project construction milestones for multiple fronts in the project portfolio
  • Ensure compliance with development obligations, including environmental and cultural heritage requirements

Requirements

  • Background in client-side, contractor, consultancy, or superintendent roles in construction
  • Relevant Project Management experience with a strong grasp of civil construction
  • Knowledge and experience in procurement and contract administration of construction contracts
  • Excellent time-management skills and proactive attitude towards project delivery
  • Ability to work independently, show initiative, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
  • Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders and build strong relationships
  • Ideally, hold a tertiary qualification in Engineering (Civil, Environmental) or Construction Management with a minimum of 5 years experience
