The position is based in Melbourne in our new CBD offices with flexible hybrid working options.
As part of this role you will :

Automate Operations:
Develop automation solutions for operations, emphasizing configuration, monitoring, security, and disaster recovery.

Infrastructure Management:
Provision and maintain infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (Ia C) principles.

Deployment Automation:
Develop and maintain deployment processes and automation using tools such as Octopus Deploy.

CI/CD Enhancement:
Enhance and optimize Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines Cross-

Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of code releases.

Platform Operations:
Oversee platform operations to ensure high availability and performance.

Platform Design and Development:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable platform solutions that support various applications and services.

Platform Reliability:
Implement and manage platform reliability engineering (PRE) practices to ensure system robustness and fault tolerance.

Monitoring and Logging:
Set up comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to proactively manage platform health.

Performance Optimization:
Analyze and optimize platform performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and minimal downtime.

Security Compliance:
Ensure platform security and compliance with industry standards and best practices.
To be successful in this role you will have :

Programming Expertise:
Strong programming skills with expertise in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP); proficiency in C#/.
NET is highly preferred.

Debugging Skills:
Proficient in using debuggers for troubleshooting and optimization.

Networking Knowledge:
Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including HTTP, REST APIs, TCP/IP, and TLS.

Version Control:
Solid understanding of version control systems, particularly Git.

Database Familiarity:
Experience with both relational and No SQL databases.

Platform Engineering skills including; Experience with platform engineering concepts and practices, a strong understanding of platform scalability and reliability, proficiency in setting up and managing monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.

Some 'nice to have' skills and experience : Scripting: Experience with scripting, particularly Power Shell.

Linux Command Line:
Basic proficiency in the Linux command line.

Azure Expertise:

Experience with Azure Resource Manager templates for Ia C and hands-on experience with Azure cloud services, including Virtual Machines, Application Gateways, Web Apps, Function Apps, Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Container Apps, and various storage services.


Containerization:
Familiarity with containerization technologies, especially Docker.

CI/CD Tools:
Previous experience with CI/CD pipelines, specifically Azure Pipelines.

Platform Security:
Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements for platform engineering.
