Kindergarten Improvement Advisor

The Early Childhood Improvement Branch ensures a dedicated team supports early childhood services in Areas. The branch has multiple responsibilities, including supporting services with kindergarten programs and the delivery of School Readiness Funding.
School Readiness Funding is a new, permanent part of kindergarten funding that will give more support to the children who need it most.
To be successful in this role you will need to draw on your experience in an educational context, with a strong understanding of the early childhood education and care system.
You will be required to provide high quality opportunities for early childhood professionals to work and learn together, using data to identify and reflect on local issues and problems of practice, and develop solutions that will lead to improved outcomes for children.
You will need to demonstrate that you have excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills, and a strong understanding of quality pedagogical practices.
knowledge of the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) is highly desirable and skills and experience in group facilitation would be an advantage.
You will be part of a team that will play a lead role in strengthening early childhood service collaboration, which ultimately supports services though a time of significant reform activity, and help create a culture of trust and reflection, and improve transitions for children and families between early childhood and school.
Flexibility will be required during periods of surge activity.Desirable Qualifications Bachelor's degree Education - Early Childhood Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood or other relevant study with transferrable knowledge and skills.
Work Location:
Frankston or East Bentleigh, South Eastern Victoria Region
