The Information Management and Technology Division guides the Departments' digital capability and is leading digital transformation for the Department including Victorian government schools.

The Division architects, manages and supports the largest technology network in Victoria, supporting a user base of approximately 750,000 staff and students.

IMTD provides innovation and leadership in the transformation and management of the Department's digital capability through the implementation of solutions on the department's cloud environment (IaaS), enterprise cloud platforms (PaaS) and software (SaaS), using agile practices with a focus on user experience, security, and integration.

About the opportunity

An exciting, Ongoing opportunity exists within the Information Management Team within Enterprise Information Services Branch for a Data Analyst reporting to the Chief Data Officer.

In this role you will focus on data & information analysis, stakeholder management, and supporting information management project delivery. This role will also assist with recruitment, procurement and business as usual (BAU) activity as required.
About you

  • Understand the Department's values, want to work in the public sector, and will abide by the Victorian Public Sector Code of Conduct.
  • Have demonstrated experience in data analytics design and implementation, solution design for data integration (ETLs), data warehousing, business intelligence and Kimball design methodologies.
  • Have demonstrted experience in working across multiple data & analytics technologies (MS Azure, Hadoop ecosystem, PowerBI, Tableau, etc).
  • Have demonstrated experience in managing relationships with stakeholders.
  • Have the knowledge and experience to understand the organisational landscape.
  • Be a strong teamplayer and work collaboratively across all teams.
  • Hold a relevant tertiary qualification.
