As product owner, you will take ownership of the groups monitoring, logging capabilities and enterprise patching.

Your role will be crucial in shaping and delivering the roadmap and experience of this technology by helping internal technology teams realise value.


Your core responsibilities are:

  • To be the voice of the business and take ownership of the product with accountability for end to end delivery and lifecycle management including financials.
  • Lead both the definition and execution of the vision and roadmap for the following tools: Splunk, Solarwinds, Netscout, AppDynamics, SCOM, SCCM, Sitescope within CBA in partnership with business stakeholders, architecture, cyber, service management, product management and other cross functional squads to maximise ROI and benefits realisation.
  • Drive an agile mindset and practice including leading an agile squad through writing epics and user stories with acceptance criteria, managing the product backlog, prioritising work, removing impediments, defining sprint goals, establishing OKRs to ensure the team are aligned towards delivering and realising product goals.
  • Support day to day running of platform as well as projects from business case creation/ideation through discovery, inception, execution and embedding.
  • Establish relationships with technology partners ensuring they are aligned and invested in our business objectives.
  • Role model continuous improvement and customer focus evaluate effectiveness of tools, processes and methodologies, making recommendations and driving for continuous improvement and adoption of best practises.

Skills and Experience

  • Proven experience of a minimum of 3 years as a product or service owner or the equivalent, including end to end ownership of product or service, strategy execution and managing financials.
  • Technical background with a solid understanding of service management concepts, IT & Cyber controls and managing the Total Cost of Ownership of a product is preferred
  • You will need a risk mindset with ability to balance compliance, risk, finance and feature enablement when prioritising.
  • You will need strong communication skills and stakeholder management experience which is required to drive conversations, constructively challenge decisions, and to be able to interface with architects & engineers as well as executive and general managers.
  • Experience working with COTS patching technologies is highly beneficial including vendor contract negotiation and procurement
  • Experience managing squads that are both running and changing the product
