A global insurance company is seeking a senior financial analyst to join its outward reinsurance division in Sydney. This team acts as a business partner to heads of department across the insurance business.

When new initiatives, products and transformations occur, you will be consulted to first sit with senior stakeholders to understand what they are trying to achieve and second, to find solutions to offset the risk of these initiatives through the reinsurance arm.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the facultative reinsurance portfolio
  • Oversee facultative reinsurance premiums payments and claims recoveries process
  • Oversee complex scheme reconciliations
  • Provide regular guidance and to internal and external stakeholder
  • Monthly settlement of treaty reinsurance
  • Monthly management of relevant balance sheet minutes
  • Deputise for the head of department, act as 2iC
  • Represent the finance reinsurance team at meetings
  • Compilation and analysis of regional reporting requirements
You will be a qualified accountant with previous financial analyst experience and a good knowledge of reinsurance. You will enjoy working with stakeholders, understanding their challenges and finding solutions.
