The VFX Producer at Fin Design + Effects works closely with Executive Producers and partners with the VFX Supervisors to lead the crew to deliver the highest level of artistry and craft, they are responsible for managing all aspects of a show, including the budget, the schedule, and client communication.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Partner with key creatives to develop best approach for assigned project
  • Principal project contact for client communication track and report progress of work, budget and negotiate cost of work, and deliver cost/schedule changes
  • Create, organize, and maintain the overall project schedule. Manage project milestones and deliveries in accordance with the implemented schedule
  • Manage the production team on the assigned project
  • Evaluate the project budget and scope of work to provide management with early, consistent, and accurate financial reporting
  • Maintain the project crew list, collaborate with the talent team to ensure the project is appropriately crewed
  • Collaborate with the talent management team and management team to identify project resource needs and balance the overall capacity of the studio resources
  • Lead a positive team environment, ensuring a collaborative and respectful work environment for your artists and production teams
  • Pitch and bid for new business when applicable

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in VFX Production roles and at least 5 years as a VFX Producer on mid to high end projects
  • Expert knowledge of Shotgrid or similar production management programs
  • Thorough understanding of liveaction and CG based VFX workflows and the 3D/2D pipelines
  • Positive, proactive and collaborative with a proven track record delivering VFX projects in the Film and TV Episodic industry with the ability to prioirtise conflicting tasks and stay calm under pressure
  • An effective communicator and problem solver with excellent written/verbal skills and client/crew management skills
  • A team leader who is able to effectively communicate with people at all levels, technical or nontechnical crew
  • A team player at all times with excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work collaboratively
  • A Bachelor's Degree in Film, Media, Art or Communications or equivalent experience gained by working in the industry
