The Toolmaker is responsible to make, maintain and repair dies & jigs used within the manufacturing process at Vinidex.
Regular tasks include using a range of Toolroom processes, tools and machines in a safe manner to produce required parts, determining sizes & fit, measuring and marking out of metal stock or castings, machining internal shapes, designing tools and precision equipment and ensuring all activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner that best supports Vinidex operational requirements, policies and procedures.
You will work Monday - Friday from 6:00am until 2:30pm.Responsibilities include:
- Comply with WHS instructions and follow the processes and practices of the workplace
- Report all potential hazards, incidents, near misses and injuries using our systems
- Liaise with internal departments to understand requirements for tooling, jigs or fixtures
- Follow Toolroom Maintenance Strategy for equipment, tools & dies
- Attend breakdowns
- Record times/Parts used/Work History
- Create Follow up Work Orders for additional work
- Complete Maintenance Inspection & Service Sheets
- Record key equipment data
- Ensure urgent issues are communicated to the Toolroom Supervisor
- Accurately record the usage of all parts
- Identify details of any required parts

About You- Toolroom trade qualified with a mechanical aptitude capable of working within a team environment.- Positive attitude towards continuous improvement and a strong commitment to Workplace Health and Safety.
