Our client is a government health agency, seeking to engage a Project Officer to work within a team that supports the implementation, management and monitoring of a diverse range of projects for the NSW Cervical Screening Program.


About the Role
The Project Officer coordinates all projects and ensures company resources are utilised appropriately. Compiles project status reports, coordinates project schedules, manages project meetings, and identifies and resolves technical problems.

Key Accountabilities

  • Manage assigned projects to ensure they are undertaken effectively, within scheduled timeframes, quality standards and on budget.
  • Collaborate with team members to commission and execute contracts and grants with external agencies, including preparation of procurement and tender documentation, evaluation and contract preparation.
  • Develop, maintain and foster effective networks, relationships and partnerships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Essential Requirements

  • Experience managing competing priorities and resourcing and delivering multiple project outcomes within tight time frames.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate discipline such as health, public health or health promotion or equivalent, and relevant professional experience and training.
